Solid Surface Toilet Compartments

Tex-Lam Manufacturing's Acrystone® solid surface toilet compartments provide a high-end appearance combined with excellent functionality. All compartment material is manufactured with a non-porous Acrystone® solid surfacing material.

Product Composition

Tex-Lam Manufacturing's solid surface toilet compartments are manufactured with Acrystone® solid surface 1/8-inch (3mm) sheets and edge strips. Acrystone® is composed of acrylic resins, ATH (aluminum tri-hydrate - a flame retardant mineral), and exclusive pigments and particulates. All Acrystone® solid surface panels, pilasters and doors are composed of medium density fiberboard bonded on all sides and edges. Faces are bonded under pressure with 7 wet mils of non-flammable vinyl acetate rigid set adhesive. All edges are bonded physically and chemically with an approved adhesive in conjunction with solid surface seam adhesive to make seams inconspicuous. All panels, pilasters and doors are a 1-inch finished thickness. Stainless steel hardware is standard.

Basic Limitations

Tex-Lam Manufacturing's solid surface toilet compartments are meant for interior use. Exposure to harsh chemicals such as paint thinner, lacquer, acetone, (nail polish remover) or any other caustic cleanser can be harmful to the surface and should be avoided. Should exposure occur, it should be removed immediately with soap and water. Finished surfaces should not be exposed to cleaning products containing bleaching agents for a prolonged basis. Prolonged exposure could result in surface discoloration.

Finishes

Tex-Lam Manufacturing's solid surface toilet compartments are shipped with a factory finish equivalent to a matte finish. Optional finishes may range from matte to high gloss. Be aware that compartments with a high gloss finish may require more maintenance. Darker colors also may require more maintenance.

Maintenance

Tex-Lam Manufacturing's solid surface toilet compartments have a non-porous composition ensuring easy care and durability. Regular use of warm water and mild soaps for cleaning will keep your compartments looking like new for years to come. Other accepted cleaners are Fantastik® and Formula 409®.

Removing Stains and Scratches

Tex-Lam Manufacturing's solid surface toilet compartments are designed to resist common stains. Should a stain develop that is not removed with a mild soap and water, apply an abrasive cleanser (such as Comet®, Soft Scrub®, Bon Ami®, etc.) and rub the surface with a Scotch-Brite Pad® until the stain or scratch is removed. Use this technique for cigarette burns, minor cuts and other deeper scratches. A high gloss finish may require a consultation with the installing fabricator or dealer before repair is attempted.
